Six month old babies must haves

Here's one thing that babies must haves, when they reached 6-month old and above. Walker is something that's mandatory, all my kids learned how to walk because of this baby walker. This will also keep the babies busy since there are some cute toys in front of them that's either produces sounds or emits  light.

Walker also gives you more time to do some household chores, while keeping an eye on your precious babies. Just don't leave them unattended of course! Plus instead of buying a baby chair, or high chair. Walker also serves as a baby chair where they can have their tiny food bits in the front of them. As you can see on the design, these toy spots in front can be removed and be converted to table.

Another baby must haves is play pen. As a mom of three, I usually don't buy cribs. I never really used cribs. For some reason, cribs are expensive plus it is made of wood (most of them). We all know how hard wood is. It's a "no-no". When babies started teething, babies might bite the woods, and I think you wouldn't want them to see crying or hurt.

Play pen also serves dual purpose. Babies can use this for sleeping, and at the same time, for playing. It's also cheaper compared to cribs, usually most of the design of play pens are easy to fold, so that means it will save you time and space the moment you need it.

See how comfortable my 7-month old baby on this playpen. It actually makes me feel that he is safe here rather than crawling on the floor and might eat something really weird that might choke him, or maybe cracked his head on the tiles.

Walker and play pens are mandatory. So the moment your bundles of joy reached this age of 6 months and above, you can buy these two.

Any baby tips are welcome! Please leave your comment :) Happy parenting!

Storing fruits and vegetables

Credit to pngpix.com Storing fruits and vegetables is one of the biggest problem I had . As a busy mom, I usually buy fruits and vegetables once in a week. But after a few days, these veggies and fruits are already a waste of money. When the time that I want to cook them it's already rotten. How sad... and I end up cooking nothing but meat :( So I came to research what are the best way to store fruits and veggies that could last longer. One golden rule is never store fruits and vegetable together. The acidity of the fruit makes the veggies rot faster. Apple - Store them in the coolest part of the fridge. Celery, carrots, and cabbage - pack them in plastic, some use foil but you have to consume it as soon as possible. And with carrots some cut the leafy part of it, cause that's the part that rot fast.  I tried cutting the carrots in cubes and putting them in the freezer, that should work for a week. Eggplant - Usually I put them inside the fridge, but not now. You h...

Healthy food for picky toddlers

Carrot and Potato Mix  Talking about healthy food for toddler? Here's a super cool idea that would let you feed them with veggies without them knowing it. Here's the recipe: Small size carrot Medium size potatoe Half of onion 3 gloves of garlic 1 egg  2 tbsp. of all purpose flour (I'm using Magnolia ) Oil for frying (I preferred corn oil) Grind black pepper (I'm using McCormick ) Pinch of salt Process: 1. Use a shredder  for carrots and potato, I preferred the one with small holes since it will be more refined. Don't forget to peel before doing this. 2. Add salt, garlic, onion and pepper. For kids, use powdered pepper. I used grind pepper here since I'm feeding an adult :) Mr. Hubby. You can also shred the onion and garlic. 3. You will notice that water will appear as soon as you mixed the ingredients, don't drain them, the vitamins are there. Add the flour, then add the egg and mix all. 4. Let it settle for 5 to 10 minutes. 5....

Sliced Pork Jerky or Bak Kwa as homecoming gift.

Pork Jerkey or BaK Kwa from Bee Cheng Hiang, Singapore Bak Kwa or Pork Jerky , as they call it. Locals of Singapore called this as Bakkwa. A friend of mine shared this to us to give it a taste. Bak Kwa tastes like "Tocino". Pork Jerky was sweet and salty at the same time, but sweetness is taking over the saltiness. Although you can buy these goodies uncut from Chinatown, they have a sliced version that you can take home, sealed in freshness. Key ingredient of Bak Kwa are sugar and fish sauce.  These pork jerkey are vacuum sealed from Bee Cheng Hiang . Instruction how to eat vacuum sealed Bak Kwa or Pork Jerky Bee Cheng Hiang have an online store for vacuum packed Bak Kwa, variants are pork, chicken, and beef. Together with the package, is the instruction how to eat the sliced pork. But since we don't have time to follow the instructions (wink). We just tear the seal and bite this sliced goodies. You can take it home and have it as homecoming gift o...
