Spending time with kids

Snake and Ladder Game Board In the era of smartphones and latest technologies, including tablets and iPad , I thought board games has long been extinct. Like dinosaurs that you only see in movies. But yeah, I have to admit I was wrong. There was a sudden change on interest with my five-year-old kid. Usually she plays with barbie dolls, little plates and kettles made of plastics or watching Youtube video. But now she's asking Mr. Hubby to play with her. Which is good, in terms of family bonding and being in a real world. At first I thought it would not click! But hey, they are enjoying including my eldest daughter who also joined the game. They're both laughing when somebody's tower hit the head of the snake. For those who don't know. If you hit a snake head on this board game, you will be taken to the tail of the snake, which usually means you are at the loosing side. I guess I have to encourage more both my kids to play board games instead of watch

Chewable multivitamins with Iron for my kids

Getting my kids to drink liquid multivitamins is getting harder and harder each day as they become older. So as a mother of two girls, one is 4 years old and the other one is 7 years old. This has become a challenge to me since my eldest is requesting chewable vitamins instead. It started out when I bought Ceelin Chewable Vitamins. I guess the chewable and candy effect is kinda effective, since she love to eat this every day. The first bottle I bought was now almost empty so I have to purchase a second bottle. So to make them take the multivitamins, I tried this new brand of Chewable Multivitamins with Iron in substitute to the originally liquid multivitamins with Iron. My pediatrician always recommends multivitamins with Iron to take together with vitamin C hand in hand.   Here's the multivitamins I bought. This is from Multicare. My youngest love the taste of orange flavor, but my eldest doesn't like the grape flavor of Zoiron, and the tablet is kinda hard to ch

This is Ysay singing Frozen while playing computer game, pardon my video I didn't realize the angle was wrong :( You can find here the  Frozen: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack (Piano/Vocal/Guitar)

Thyroid Surgery Anticipation

I should be writing something fun and informative here but can't help. The feeling of anticipation for the result of my father's thyroid biopsy. Initially the major concern was hoarseness of his voice. We've consulted a few EENT doctors and Pulmunologist to confirm what's going on with his larynx. After a few laboratory test we found out that his left vocal chord was paralyzed.  For some unknown reason. EENT suggested a CT scan of chest and neck with contrast to check where the problem is coming from and found out that there is a mass, I don't know how they call it in medical terms, that's been a bit big and eventually reach his heart. An initial suggestion of the ENT doctor is an operation but we have to wait for the result of the biopsy to know if this mass is malignant or what, the ENT doctor also needs to wait for the cardiothoracic surgeon so that they can plan how the operation will go. Huh! As much as possible I don't want to hear this kind of

BABY RASHES

It hurts to see your baby crying out loud because of that reddish thing that you see on her diaper lining. These are diaper rash or diaper dermatitis; it is caused by diaper staying wet on the skin, rubbing of diaper on the skin and some chemicals that blend with the diaper that is found in urine and stool. Common causes are: ·          If the wet diaper stays long on babies, especially if they sleep for long hours and we are unable to change it. ·          If the baby is already eating solid foods. The chemical content on their stool and urine might change causing the rashes. ·          Constant rubbing of skin.
