Argue or Debate?

Having a teenage kid is one hell of a challenge to parents. Teenagers already have their own reasons, and wants for themselves, it is a challenge to make them do something that they don't want to do in the first place like household chores. Apparently as a parent, I realize that we have to be the following: Firm - make them realize that we stick to our decision, else they will get their way out of a situation thinking that they can always persuade you. Argument or debate - I guess it's a debate when your teenager is throwing excuses and reasons not to do the things she must do. A matter of convincing that what she's doing is for the good of everyone and being right is part of it. They have their own perception of what is right and wrong. but sometimes since they are still kids, we have to prove our point. My eldest love to debate, good thing she speaks her mind BUT she carelessly handle words. Always blunt must I say. Although I can say it's a good thing s

Six month old babies must haves

Here's one thing that babies must haves, when they reached 6-month old and above. Walker is something that's mandatory, all my kids learned how to walk because of this baby walker. This will also keep the babies busy since there are some cute toys in front of them that's either produces sounds or emits  light. Walker also gives you more time to do some household chores, while keeping an eye on your precious babies. Just don't leave them unattended of course! Plus instead of buying a baby chair, or high chair. Walker also serves as a baby chair where they can have their tiny food bits in the front of them. As you can see on the design, these toy spots in front can be removed and be converted to table. Another baby must haves is play pen. As a mom of three, I usually don't buy cribs. I never really used cribs. For some reason, cribs are expensive plus it is made of wood (most of them). We all know how hard wood is. It's a "no-no". When babies sta

BABY RASHES

It hurts to see your baby crying out loud because of that reddish thing that you see on her diaper lining. These are diaper rash or diaper dermatitis; it is caused by diaper staying wet on the skin, rubbing of diaper on the skin and some chemicals that blend with the diaper that is found in urine and stool. Common causes are: ·          If the wet diaper stays long on babies, especially if they sleep for long hours and we are unable to change it. ·          If the baby is already eating solid foods. The chemical content on their stool and urine might change causing the rashes. ·          Constant rubbing of skin.

HOW TO TALK TO KIDS ABOUT TOUGH ISSUES OR SUBJECTS

Raising a kid is the most rewarding and yet very challenging part of being a parent.  Getting your child to talk is even harder when the kid is growing especially teenagers. I noticed that talking to a two year old is much easy and comfortable compared to older kids. Toddlers are not ashamed to ask questions, relevant or not, because they are just starting to know the things that surrounds them. While teenagers have some sort of idea how things are and most of the times they are the one exploring things and putting it into action rather than asking questions.  Which I think is more dangerous since teenagers are already interacting with different people, they have the tendency to pick up wrong ideas or even be influenced by bad people. In this very complicated world that we have today, it is tough to explain things or issues  to kids so that they will clearly understand what are the things we try to convey. Especially those issues like, sex and sexuality, relationship, alcohol, divorc
